Kris Nelson is a multi award winning singer songwriter based in WA’s Great Southern. His sound falls somewhere between the likes of Passenger, Bright Eyes and Gregory Alan Isakov. It’s best described as a blend of the lyrical focus of folk and the energy and stylings of indie.
With over 15 years of experience under his belt, Nelson’s original music has allowed him to tour as far as Canada, The US and many times around WA and the Eastern States.
Picking up a couple of WAM’s prestigious Song of The Year awards helped cement him into the WA music scene. Landing supports with Australian heavy weights such as Josh Pyke, Kav Temperley, Alex Lloyd, Karnivool, John Butler and most recently The Rubens.
His debut full length album is set for release mid 2022 with two tracks already receiving nominations from WAM.
