Happy Sangria Day!
December 20th of every year is Sangria Day so let’s celebrate the right way this year by whipping up the perfect Sangria, gathering your friends and drinking Sangria all night long, just in time for the Chrissy break!
Sangria comes from the Spanish word for blood because of its beautiful deep red colour. It originates from Spain and Portugal and has its very own national day where wine lovers can gather and drink delicious Sangria, why not!
This versatile drink can come in many variations; cold and fruity for the hot Summer days and heated and spiced for the long Winter nights. Lucky for us Aussies, 20 December is sunny, and we have the ultimate Sangria recipe for it, thanks to Happs Wines.
1 bottle of Happs Fuchsia Rose
1 glass of Happs East of Alice Red
1 glass of Cranberry juice
Top with fresh seasonal fruit and ice
If you can’t get your Sangria fix on the 20 December to start the festive season, then come along to Sunset Wine & Brews to wash away the work blues and visit the Happs Wine stand. Buy a glass of the delicious cocktail and enjoy an iconic WA sunset on the Sunset Balcony while listening to Perth DJs.
You can also enjoy complimentary wine and brew tastings from 2pm - 6pm, buy a glass to match the yummy food and kick back on the green grass looking over Scarborough Beach. See you there!
