With more than two years in the planning, I am excited with the launch this week of the culinary tourism strategy for Western Australia! Under the name of “Taste 2020”, it is the state’s strategy for food and wine tourism in Western Australia for the next five years & beyond! Congratulations to Tourism WA and the state government in committing to the initiative.

Western Australian Wine and Food is unique and the more we promote it to our domestic market, to Australia and the world, we will all share and prosper in the benifits. I am looking forward to what I see as one of the strongest commitments to wine and food tourism in Western Australia in many, many years. We all know we have the best wine, best food and best attractions – let’s share it with the world.
From an events point of view, when we attract people to wine and food events, it grows visitors to the regions and supports our very broad boutique and unique produce we have to offer.

I encourage our industry to commit and enjoy the success!
