Buy WA Wine!

September 17, 2015

Western Australia is reported to produce almost 25% of Australia’s fine wine! This is made up through just 5% of the total production but represents 12% of the value of the Australian wine industry.

While there are well recognised major brands coming out of the west, there are also many small, boutique producers who contribute to the overall product. More than 450 wineries are part of the state’s industry.

We have a fantastic wine industry and it is so important to us all to see it grow!

Events like UnWined WA, Sunset Wine and City Wine have been created to promote WA wine and to build the knowledge and appreciation of what the state has to offer.

CMS Events encourages Western Australians to visit the events, discover wines that may not appear on the shelves of their local retailer and buy our local wine.

Local wineries invest in local events to expose what they have to offer. Visitors can talk to the owners and winemakers to understand the wines and also find out where they can order and purchase some of the best wines in WA.

Just like supporting your local food through markets and buying direct, we challenge you to support our very successful and very enjoyable wine industry by taking the time to seek out what is available from the wineries from our diverse nine wine regions.
