Who we are
CMS Events have been well established (since 1993) in the events industry in Western Australia, specialising in consumer exhibitions and events, especially those that are food and wine based. They have also included from time to time, specific client conferences, gala dinners and seminars.
With a sound background of operating events and exhibitions, they have used the broad knowledge of marketing, sales, operations and financial control to apply their skills across a range of industries and styles of events.
The company’s experience provides nearly 30 years of knowledge and over 170 exhibitions and projects. CMS Events offer a strategic approach to development, management and marketing for events of any size.
Richard has been involved in the industry for 40 years, starting in 1981 in a part time capacity, then full time since 1987. He created CMS Events in 1993 and founded the original WA Wine & Food Festival, before being sold to the Good Food & Wine Show. His experience has been built through the management and involvement of more than 200 events and exhibitions, many created by the company. His role is recognised across a range of disciplines in the events industry which encompasses the promotion of food, wine, tourism, ageing, events and many more.
Jessica started with CMS in 2010 and now with ten years’ experience behind her, she plays a pivotal role in delivery and operations for the events and company and has been largely involved in the creation and development of the successful Wine & Food Events WA series. Over her 10 years with the company Jessica has been involved in staging over 60 different events including outdoor wine and food exhibitions, trade exhibitions, award nights and launch functions. From her experience in the industry and diploma in event management she has a sound understanding of event logistics and operations and maintains sound business practices across the company’s activities.
Sales & Marketing Manager
Paige trained at the Central Institute of Technology in events management. She commenced with CMS in 2016 and has since grown in her role as the Sales and Marketing Manager where she looks after media, marketing, sales and sponsorship. Her ability to deal at all levels for the company and work with major stakeholders in the company projects makes her an invaluable team member.
Jess has taken on the role as the key client contact for all events. Her ability to deal with the exhibitor base, event organisers, chefs, venues and stakeholders of the events at all levels provides a great first impression for both new and existing clients. Jess completed a Bachelor of Business – Event Management at Edith Cowan University.
Onsite Operations Manager
Jay has been involved on the operations side of events for ten years, initially with Agility Event Logistics, then Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre and now as a freelance operator where he holds the necessary high-risk work licenses. Jay plays a critical role in the on-site build and operations for events and has worked with CMS Events for six years. He holds tickets for the necessary machinery and equipment at events and has a great understanding of contractors and freight providers which allow him to work autonomously during the critical event build stage. He is very flexible and has a very strong ethic in getting the job done on time and safely.
